We allow know that exercise is a good thing for both physical and mental health.  Many of us try to fit in a few gym visits a week, and consider it done.  Children, however, need exercise, too – and our modern world does not always allow time for kids to be physically activity.  Build time in your schedule every day to take the kids outside for a walk, a romp with the dog in the yard, or a trip to the playground.  It will be good for your health, good for parent-child bonding, but will also help cultivate a habit of fitness in your children which will last their whole lives.
